Vision — Highgrove Church

What we’re about

As part of the Woodlands Church Family, our vision is to see Bristol transformed by the love and power of God.

The Woodlands Church Family is a church-planting movement creating Spirit-filled, visible communities of faith in neighbourhoods across Bristol.

Our Values

About Us

We meet every Sunday morning at 9.30am and 11am in our building in Sea Mills, with a live-streamed service available on our website at 9.30am.

We run various midweek activities in our local community and, along with other churches in the area through Sea Mills Community Initiatives, we help run Café on the Square, a Community Garden and the Methodist Hall in Sea Mills for the benefit of the community.

At heart we're a community of people dedicated to following Jesus, with a faith that engages with modern life. There's a great feeling of family in our church and we're open to anyone and everyone, regardless of where you are on your own faith journey.

The Highgrove team is made up of both volunteers and staff who are passionate about helping everyone find their place to serve as we follow Jesus together.

Our History

Highgrove Church was started in 1983 and after rapid growth the church planted a further congregation in Henleaze and Westbury (The Community Church) in 1993. Two years later a third congregation, Woodlands Central, was started in Clifton and more recently Woodlands Metro, Branch Church and Woodlands Southside, Hillside Church and Woodlands East. These sites are part of one church: the Woodlands Church Family.

We’re an Eco-Church

Highgrove has a Silver Eco Church Award. This is an award scheme that encourages churches to care for creation as an integral part of loving their neighbours and following God faithfully.
